Good morning, is everyone as excited about the weekend almost being here as I am?  Did you get to see my organized laundry room earlier this week?  It still working like a dream for me!  Today, as promised, you’re getting all the details from the rustic mountain wedding we went to last month.  To say this wedding was beautiful is a complete understatement.  From the scenic location to the venue and bride, it was all so pretty.

The wedding was held at Timber Ridge at Keystone Resort and it was absolutely beautiful.  Timber Ridge is at the top of the mountain so we had to take two different gondolas up to the wedding ceremony and reception.  The views on the way up were gorgeous! Probably one of my favorite parts of the wedding, besides the couple getting married, was receiving a glass of champagne once we stepped off the gondola.  I definitely needed it to calm my nerves after the ride up to the wedding.

Walking up to the ceremony location there was a great sign that informed all the guests of what was going to take place throughout the night.  It was handy to know the order of events right off the bat.

The couple got married outside overlooking the evergreen trees.  It was beautiful.  The ceremony included an emotional reading describing how the bride’s dress was purchased with her late mother several years ago.  It really pulled at the heart strings.  I love that the bride’s mother was there in memory and almost physically because the bride was wearing the dress she picked out with her.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

After the ceremony, the cocktail hour took place in the same location.  The bartenders did a great job of loading up their servers’ trays with a variety of drinks.  Instead of the servers’ having to go back to the bar for different drinks their trays had a couple varieties of beer, red and white wine, and champagne.  There was something for everyone.  There were also passed hors d’oevours and a gigantic cheese table.  It was all delicious.

During the cocktail hour I snuck inside to the reception space to get some pictures for you before everyone else came inside.  I was blown away when I saw this.

I mean, I think I fell right into a picture on Pinterest.  The draping really softened the rustic vibe of the space.  The lighting was perfectly done.  The space just got better as the night went on and it got darker.

You’ve already seen the tablescapes, but I just had to show you again.  The floral decor was amazing, bursting out of lanterns and lining the center of every table.

The tables themselves were beautiful.  Rustic wood in the perfect color and lined with a runner, mercury glass candles, and color coordinating napkins.  I like that the napkins added some color to the space, but it wasn’t over the top, hit you in the face, pink everywhere.

The wedding cake was as beautiful as everything else at the wedding.  It was also delicious!  You know I’ve never met a piece of wedding cake I didn’t like.  The subtle additions of greenery and flowers really brought in the outdoors and added a special touch.  I also like that the couple just had a few flowers on top of their cake instead of a cake topper.  I also did that at my own wedding.  Mostly because I forgot to get a cake topper and my florist hooked me up by adding some flowers on top.  This cake looked much more intentional though.

I love the way the baker added icing to the cake in a way to make it look like mountains and trees all around the cake.  The wood slice cake platters also amped up the rustic element.

Dinner was as good as everything else at the wedding.  Everyone was very impressed with the servers.  They did a great job making sure everyone had just what they needed.  They were very accommodating about any food allergies or dietary restrictions and even brought us refreshed drinks from the bar.  It was nice not to have to get up in the middle of dinner to go get a new drink.

When your wedding is at almost 12,000 foot elevation, people might feel a little woozy with the thin air.  It was really fun to have the option of an oxygen bar. Even if you didn’t need it, it was still fun to check your oxygen levels and try out the various different “flavors” of oxygen.

This was probably one of the most beautiful and thoughtful weddings I had ever been to.  From the moment you stepped onto the gondola, everything was very though out and enhanced the experience of where we were.  Even at the end of the night, there were blankets handed out to keep guest’s warm on the way down the mountain.  I felt so lucky to be invited to this wedding and am so grateful that I get to share it with you.  What was your favorite part?
