What I’m Binge-ing

This week I’m binge-ing garden shears!

I use them outside in my garden to trim random branches on our hedges, but more importantly I use them when making flower arrangements.

They work so much better than scissors when you’re cutting flower stems that are kind of big.

You can get the ones I have by clicking below.

Party Activity Packed Podcast

How is that for alliteration?  This week’s episode was with Amber Succes from Cotier Brand.

It was so fun talking about how important it is to include a party activity.  They help to make your party flow and create a connection amongst your guests.  I’ll admit I’m not the greatest at party activities.  I learned so much from our conversation.

  • I loved Amber’s openness about how her previous corporate career wasn’t fulfilling and that finding something that helped people connect released her passion.
  • That is why Cotier Brand is built on creating connection between people at a party.  Plus, they do it in really fun and sneaky ways.
  • I loved Amber’s perspective on every party having peaks and valleys and how to use their products as a secret hosting hack to bring the party back up to a peak.
  • Amber also talks about the importance of forgiveness and flexibility when working with your spouse.  Something we all need to hear right now when we’re spending so much time at home with out spouses working.
  • I had an “a-ha” moment when Amber shared her husband’s philosophy to “make a big deal” out of everything.  That’s totally something I strive for!
  • Amber gives great advice on how to expand your social and hosting circles.  Really important as we can kind of get into a rut of hosting the same people or no one at all.
  • I also take on a challenge to include more party activities in my next gatherings.

It was such a great conversation and I felt like I made a new friend that has such a similar perspective on creating connections and building your community.
